Markas Austria was founded in 1986 in Baden near Vienna as a subsidiary company of Markas Italy, which was founded in 1985 in Bolzano/South Tyrol. The company headquarters was relocated to St. Pölten in 2004. From the heartland of Lower Austria, Markas Austria has meanwhile expanded operations to most of the Austrian Provinces.
